Wi-Fi increases the attractiveness, acceptance and use of public transport. The Rheinbahn has also recognized this: 107 buses with Wi-Fi service are currently in operation, and more buses are planned for the course of the year. The customer acceptance is around 6300 users daily with a traffic of approx. 19 GB per day. Ituma is responsible for equipping the vehicles, setting up controlling cockpits with live monitoring and providing secure connections.

The central management platform controls bandwidth, volume limit and activation time of the Wi-Fi service. It also offers numerous tools for analyzing and processing collected data, which anonymously and in accordance with GDPR provide extensive information about user behavior.

The address to the passengers can be individually designed using the integrated content management system. With an attractive design, informative short messages and an uncomplicated activation mechanism, the login page is highly accepted by passengers.
