Development of an orchestration platform for the housing industry customer base, based on cable modems (MDU) from Unitymedia

The ituma MDU WI-FI management platform will be launched in the first quarter of 2019. The platform was developed together with Benu Networks, which act as a multi-service gateway provider.

The system provides a holistic, cross-system Wi-Fi management solution that combines the technical connections, the central customer and access point management as well as the operational and monitoring functions. The customer’s self-administration is based on an automated onboarding process and a self-explanatory web-based administration portal, which considerably minimizes the support effort.

The solution is designed for real estate companies and larger individual properties such as hotels, office buildings or student dormitories. Buildings are managed individually by local property managers, for which only a limited IT know-how is required. The tenants individually set up their private WIFI services in their apartments. The system guarantees full WiFi coverage with controllable bandwidth and supports office networks as well as controllable printers or IoT devices.
